IB Business Management (SL)
IB Business Management is designed to provide students opportunities to learn about business management techniques, companies, and strategies to succeed in the business world. In terms of coursework, students will cover five key units in this course including Introduction to Business Management, Human Resource Management, Finance, Marketing, and Operations. This class gives students an opportunity to showcase their knowledge on businesses of their choice, and also puts them in positions to evaluate real and simulated case study issues related to various business problems. Students will also develop writing skills, research skills, and decision making skills through essay tasks, case study analysis assignments, and Socratic Seminars. This class is not considered a primary Social Studies course by the State University System of Florida and so students are recommended to pair this course with another Social Studies course.
