IB Biology is a two-year course, which encompasses major topics of biology in detail. The course is designed to enhance appreciation and understanding of concepts in biology, encourage independent study, develop an ability to analyze, evaluate and synthesize scientific information, enhance experimental and investigative scientific skills, and raise awareness of the ethical, social, economic, and environmental implications of using science and technology. Recommendation: minimum of a B average in biology and chemistry. Students wishing to take IB Biology must have a teacher recommendation.
