IB Economics (HL/SL)
IB Economics will explore microeconomics, macroeconomics, and the global economy as a unit encompassing international economics, and development economics. Students will learn to connect economic theory with real world situations. Students are expected to master economic terminology, be able to use appropriate economic diagrams to illustrate an argument, construct chains of reasoning to demonstrate their economic thinking, develop the ability to evaluate economic contexts through different perspectives, and work collaboratively in the classroom. Students integrate these abilities by writing economic commentaries on news sources of their choice, using the tools and concepts learned in class.
